Emerald City: Studio Revolver Sketchbook
Hey Guys,
If you are going to the Emerald City ComiCon, PLEASE stop by the Studio Revolver booth (Booth 409) and buy one of the new 2009 Sketchbooks. I'll be honest with you guys, this sketchbook is testing the waters for Heroes. The Studio has made a concerted effort to rethink everything we do as a group this Con Season and are really hoping to drop some cool stuff and Seattle is a big litmus test for the rest of the year. The Emerald City version of the sketchbook is something we put together with what we learned, did and didn't work, last year and is paving the road for the large format sketchbook being planned for HeroesCon. I wanted to give a heads up, I did some character design work for Joseph Gauthier (www.10worldsstudio.com) who I had done some work for awhile back on his book Lazarus. He also writes an article called Speaking in Tongues http://www.comicsvillage.com/columns.aspx?columnID=11. Anyways, he's getting a book together called Goryo Dog, which I have the pleasure to be working on. He's showcasing several of the designs on his deviantart to build up some interest in the book. Thanks to the folks who left the nice comments, I'm still cutting my teeth on this whole DeviantArt thing and I'm trying to fit it in to my holiday vacation to figure it out. Hopefully I'll have it figured out in the next week or so and be updating, somewhat regularly.
